Lil Dorothy

Dear Friends,

Allow me to introduce Lil Dorothy. She’s the fire truck I bought from Lanark County. She’s a beaut, don’t you think?

Over the next few months I’m going to do her up and take her out on the road as a mobile yarn store. She can go where ever in Eastern Ontario you wish to invite her, like markets, music festivals, studio tours, art fairs, retreats… .

She will be stocked with:

  • Ontario sheep wool
  • Ontario alpaca wool
  • hand-dyed yarns
  • hand-spun one-of-a-kind art yarns
  • sock yarns and more
  • unique tools and notions
  • a well-edited collection of books and patterns
  • expertise
  • and a love of fibrecraft

The whole travelling show is called Purlin’ J’s Roving Yarn Co. I hope you’ll join me in my journey as we travel around this summer, bringing beautiful yarns and fibres to hand-crafters throughout Eastern Ontario.

Yours truly,

Joan
