Shop the truck Sat. 28 Sept in Picton!

24 Sep

TASTE Community Grown is this weekend! The trees are just starting to turn colour, the air is crisp, and the sun is shining! A perfect excuse to visit Picton, Ontario this Saturday to shop Purlin’ J’s! The truck will be in the Farm & Artisan Market section of the event. You do not need a ticket to the main tasting event to shop the yarn truck.

The *Wolfe Island Fibre Fest is this weekend! So excited! You can shop the truck this Saturday and Sunday, 14 and 15 Sept. Turn left once you get off the ferry; Lil Dorothy will be next to the boat house. Hours are 10 – 5 Saturday and 11 – 5 Sunday.

And there’s going to be a wee knitting contest! It’s the “Knit a Bit” challenge: cast on 10 sts. and knit in garter st. for ten minutes. Knitted pieces are judged for length and evenness of tension. And there are three age categories: under 12 years, 13-18, and 19 and over. See Linda at the quilt raffle table to enter. Judging will take place on Sunday, and yes! there are prizes, proudly donated by yours truly! Who will take up the challenge?!
