Sock Yarn Ten Bucks!

22 Mar

On Thursday I finally finished my hand-knitted tights, and posted this photo to Instagram/Facebook:

Sock Opus!

Sock Opus!

What a great response! You love them as much as I do, and it seems many of you are inspired to make your own tights! The pattern is called Sock Opus, and they are knit two-at-a-time from the toe-up! They are a great way to use all your favourite sock yarns in one very satisfying, custom-fitting, and practical project. You need two long circular needles (in the size that gives you the gauge required, 2.5 – 3mm) to knit two-at-a-time. You can certainly knit each leg individually from the toe-up, then join to knit the panty. But then you run the risk of  catching the dreaded “second-sock syndrome”, and two-at-a-time also means it’s  easier to knit both legs so they match, much like I tried to do with mine.

So for this week’s special, I am offering once again sock yarn for ten bucks a pop!
