Win passes to “The F Word”, a new film starring… Knitting! (and Daniel Radcliffe)

29 Jul

Megan Park stars as the hilarious Dalia in the new film The F Word.

Shop the yarn truck on August 7 at the Cineplex Odeon on Gardiners Road between 6 – 9 pm for the advance screening of The F Word, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan, and one of Canada’s Top Ten Film Festival feature film selections for 2013!

Until then, you and a friend could win a FREE PASS to the August 7 Kingston advance screening of “The F Word”. Head on over to Purlin’ J’s Facebook page to enter beginning July 29!

You need to win passes to go to the August 7 screening, but EVERYONE who stops by the yarn truck for this event (no purchase necessary) gets entered in a draw to win a special door prize sponsored by Mrs. Crosby Loves to Play, a new line of yarn soon-to-be found on-board Lil Dorothy. PLUS I’ll be giving away The F Word movie swag all evening long!

Have you ever been stuck in the “friend zone” with someone, when what you really want is… more? It’s a bittersweet time to which almost everyone can relate. Knitting to the rescue! An integral plot point to the film is Kazan’s character’s interest in knitting, and large parts of the movie include her and her friends participating in a knitting circle, featuring Toronto’s own LYS, The Purple Purl! This fun Canadian film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013 and is written by Elan Mastai and directed by Michael Dowse, from London, Ontario.

THE F WORD opens in theatres August 22.
