Braden Dragomir came to visit with me at the yarn truck, and this short video about Purlin’ J’s Roving Yarn Co. is the result!
P.S. Love that it’s set to local musicians Sheesham & Lotus!
Git yer knit on this weekend at the Kingston Scottish Festival! Shop Purlin’ J’s yarn truck on Saturday 24 May at Rideau Acres (1014 Cunningham Road) and enjoy a full day of Scottish dancing and music! Free Admission (Parking Charge of $5/vehicle). Plus a KidsZone, food vendors, and a beer tent!
Lil Dorothy is at Anwyn Studio once again! This weekend the yarn truck will be parked at 105 Mowat Avenue on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, 17/18 May (12 – 6pm Sat; 12 – 5pm Sun). Did you know Portsmouth Village is home to several talented artists and craftspeople? Why not stop in at Chasing Lightning Bugs studio, Epidemic 613, and of course Anwyn Studio while you’re there?
This weekend on the yarn truck you’ll find new sock yarn from Silver Cloud Alpacas from Elginburg, Ontario. Nancy hand-dyes the yarn created from her herd of 60+ animals. The sock yarn is a new quality this year; it’s a bit thicker and loftier but with less yardage. Recently I drove Lil Dorothy to Silver Cloud for a few photos and I can’t wait for you to see them! Stay tuned!
Shop the yarn truck at the first ever Spring Chicken Craft Fair, brought to you by the Fat Goose Craft Collective!
This is Lil Dorothy’s first event of 2014, and you’ll find lots of new yarns on board, including one-of-a-kind skeins from Zen Yarn Garden, silk blends from Louisa Harding and Malabrigo, and new colours of some of your favourites. No admission price to shop the yarn truck! Open Sunday, 4 May, 11 am – 4 pm. 285 Queen Street, Kingston, Ontario.
Have you seen the new Purlin’ J’s project bags? Your mom would love one for Mother’s Day!
See you on-board,
